Thanksgiving

Use this gerund today.

larson_erikp2

Sorry guys, I've been really lax on my blogging. I will do better. Is lax a word? Here is a video I made for a class. It all started when someone a long time ago said I was a bad listener. A month ago, my teacher told us we needed to do a performance piece. Two trains of thought collided, and this is the result. Enjoy.

U of O

Another young politically minded U of O student. They really try so hard... Good luck finding him on the ballot.

Kathryn and Jessi were right.

Parlor Hawk is pretty great.

If you haven't watched this movie yet, do yourself a favor and go watch it. It's that good.

Muscles

Worked out yesterday, lifted weights. Sore today. Played basketball. Played like this. I don't condone the words underneath fail. I just felt like this kid did.

Sailer Taylor Baylor Taylor the Whaler Failer.

Dear Scott,
I don't know you, but everyone seems to be obsessed with you. Kind of like this really cute cat. Not that photogenic, but nonetheless attractive. This cat looks better without braces.

First Monday of Summer

It felt like Summer today.
A summer haiku:

A day to relax myself
I plan a productive and relaxi...
"help me move a piano."

Got a lot done today, cleaned the fridge which contained milk from October. 9 months ago. Lovely.

Went to the coast last night. Good excuse for me and Kevan to put aside our bet and get Taco Bell.

Hope's wrestling match with her doubled sweater. In her defense it was really late.

Another Day in Paradise

Well, I've not written for 3 days or so, so here is some pictures I took a bit ago at my grandparents house. My grandpa sent everyone a letter on the morning of his 75th birthday.

"...this morning being 75 is exciting and I feel it to be a great gift. I have a library full of wonderful memories developed through out all these years. (some not so pleasant, but yet a part of the collection that forced upon me the strength to overcome; gratitude for forgiveness and another chance; and humility in having to deal with my short comings.)"

What a great perspective.

Done with school.

Back to it in two weeks.

Loving life.

Found it.
Picture one. Sad thing is, it's the same hat size I wear. Dag yo.

How about...

How about a photo every day blog?
Ok.
Never mind.
Can't find my camera.
Also wanted to post a response to Iranian blogs my good friend Margaret said. She taught at OSU in history. She asked me how do I know the US isn't paying off the bloggers to make their country look bad. I said I had no idea. This is not a picture of her, it just represents her in my mind. That's a lot of posts for one day. Happy Memorial Day everybody! I'm off to do something productive.

Memorial Day

Cinnamasation aka Grandma's Surprise! This is not what I had. I had hashbrowns. Just so you know. Delicious. Did not do anything productive today. It was wonderful.

Beach

Couple of beach trips. Pictures. You know.

Keys

Sorry for the lack of writing in the last few days, I lost my keys.
No, my computer doesn't lock.
Saw Alice in wonderland. I want to be Tim Burton. The man is a genius.
Started playing in a band. More on that later.
Song of the day: hospital beds by cold war kids.
Listen.
Enjoy.
Your welcome.
More tomorrow.

Bombadil

Sometimes my life falls together.
Today:
Felt sick.
Didn't go to class.
Teacher also feels sick.
I wake up to an email saying class was cancelled.
Found the band bombadil.
Listened to it.
Pleased.
The end.
More tomorrow.
Listen to bombadil, specifically Johnny.
Here's Jellybean Wine by Bombadil.

Beanery

Well I was back at the Beanery with some peeps and saw the moustached man that is always there it seems again.

It made me remember how many kids on the University of Oregon campus have mustaches.

I have yet to form my opinion.

I'm also sick. Of being sick. I say some ridiculous things.

It looks like Kath$ta will be following my blog. Guess that means I should post stuff. More tomorrow.

Well April

The fourth month of the year and I've come to the realization that my goals are not coming to fruition. Although that is typical of most New Year resolutions, not this year. No sir. I will not throw in the towel yet. This blog will now partially become my goal journal. Just so you know.

first

Spring break has come at last. I'm up in Forest Grove, spent the afternoon taking pictures of ducks (I know, right?) and spent the evening kicking it with my brother and sister-in-law. It's been a whirlwind of a week as far as my Spring Breaks go. Usually I'm stuck in Corvallis working, while my roommates are paragliding over the ocean in Jamaica, or something like that. I guess spending an afternoon stalking certain water foul isn't the most exciting thing I've done, but it was extremely satisfying for some reason.

I also spent time with Google Translate and some Iranan blogs.  A friend of mine had once told me to get to know a country, read it's blogs. After hearing about Iran again in the news, I realized I knew absolutely nothing about the country. So I checked out some blogs. Some were pretty anti-establishment such as The Rotten Gods, and some were educational, The Land of Persia, and some were pretty normal Adventures of Mr. Behi (these are ones I found in English). Overall, I saw a country with certainly more pressing issues than ours, but in general, people lived a similar life. In one blog, a college student was venting his frustration that he hadn't got his essay's done yet. I can relate.
